10/9/01 : FRESH HOPE?!
Codemasters recently stated that they currently have a "football action game" in development. Further details are unavailable but the hope is that this could infact be a new version of Sensi that is on its way!

SWOS 2K? - SORRY BUT IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN (12 / 12)
Hi there, I am afraid that I have some bad news for you all. I really don't think that we will be getting a new version of SWOS in the foreseeable future. You've probably all come to this conclusion anyway by now, but due to a recently gained knowledge of the computer games industry, any faint hopes I once had have been completely quashed.

You see, in the games industry, a lot of work goes into a game before its even given the go-ahead for developement. Several prototypes and beta versions may even be produced before the idea is pitched to a team of design experts. At this stage, the game can still be rejected as an idea, and it would appear that this has happened to SWOS 2K. It is a shame as I'm sure it would have been very warmly welcomed by a large community of Sensible gamers, but unfortunately, that's the way it is!

NEW SENSI SOCCER - THE FULL STORY (29/06)
The truth has finally come out regarding the new Sensible Soccer that is "in developement". The fact is that the game is at a very early stage in its design, and has not yet been approved by Codemasters, although with so much support, and the game allegedly already looking very promising with a lot of new ideas, sources suggest this shouldn;t be a problem.The following quote is taken from SWOS 24/7 :

".....we are prototyping it currently and if the design guys don't see a real reason to make it we won't....I think it's unlikely we won't esp. if there's demand for it already and it is on paper looking great, so far we only have a pitch on screen! Not sure if we will do PC versions from now on, it will depend very much on the type of game, for example we have have just cancelled the PC version of boxing 'cause the advance orders were very small, where as the PSX version advances are already looking huge."

CODEMASTERS DENY NEW SENSI RUMOURS (19/05)
In response to a mail to Codemasters to inform them of the SWOS 2K campaign, recent rumours that a new Sensible Soccer game is on its way.or even planned have been denied and it has been stated, once again, as in the past that there are no official plans to release a new SWOS game. I can't say much more than that, but I have informed them of the presence of the message board, and the SWOS 2K campaign pages, and await their response on these matters.

NEW SENSI REVELATION!! (28/04)
Sources close to Codemasters have revealed that there WILL be another Sensi Soccer and that it is already in developement for the Playstation 2 and the X-Box. It would seem pretty likely that a PC version will follow. It is unclear how far away the game is currently from completion, but considering the consoles haven't even been released over here yet, and the high standards of both Codemasters and Jon Hare, it could be a while off just yet.

Also in production at the Codemasters offices are Playstation 2 amd X-Box versions of Sensi's other famous title - Cannon Fodder, and the Codemasters/Sensible partnerships first release will be a version of Cannon Fodder for the new Gameboy.

I still feel, it is a good idea, however, to show your support, elation, joy, or whatever for this news, on the SWOS 2K Message board, which you will find by following the link in the menu on the left!! I have sent an E-Mail to Codemasers informing them of the address and details of the message board, and asking for their feedback on the messages left and the SWOS 2K campaign in general, so check back for more details soon, hopefully!!
